The Penguins have a number of injuries and many of them are significant. Here's a look a the current players who are out of the line-up and when their returns can be expected.

Marc-Andre Fleury - Practiced recently for the first time since suffering an undisclosed injury on November 15th. Return date is unsure. [PittsburghLive.com]
Ryan Whitney - He has been practicing with the Penguins for a few weeks now, but does not take part in the entire practice. He will not be able to return until at least the new year. Whitney has missed the entire season since having foot surgery in the summer. [NHL.com]
Sergei Gonchar - Has missed the entire season after having shoulder surgery in September. Should be able to return sometime between late February and early April. [TSN.ca]
With the injuries, off-season moves and trades, the current Penguins line-up only has nine players that played for the team in the Stanley Cup Finals last year, ten if you include Dany Sabourin who did not dress during the playoffs.
