The Sabres have had trouble scoring goals and have had bad luck against the Penguins in recent history. The Sabres are 1-5 in their last six games against the Penguins, and they haven't won in Mellon Arena since April 3rd, 2007. The Penguins will have Dany Sabourin in net tonight. The Sabres faced John Curry for their win a few weeks ago. The Penguins will be without Mike Zigomanis, Tyler Kennedy and Hal Gill. Kennedy has been placed on injured reserve while Zigomanis and Gill are listed as day-to-day. Phillipe Boucher is also injured, adding to the Penguins injury woes on defense. Tonight Ben Lovejoy will make his regular season debut on the Penguins blue line. Lovejoy leads all Baby Pens' defensemen in scoring. He will be paired with Alex Goligoski.

Malkin and Crosby remain hot, sitting at positions one and two respectively in the NHL scoring race. They will likely need to provide extra scoring as the team's defense is depleted. The Penguins penalty kill will suffer without Hal Gill.

There are also rumours swirling that the Sabres may be on the block...

Prediction: 5-3 Penguins
