So it figures that I miss the game where the Pens score six goals.
I didn't see tonight's game but from the highlights and the boxscore it sounds like a good win for the Pens. Miroslav Satan, Alex Goligoski, Evgeni Malkin, Tyler Kennedy, Max Talbot and Jordan Staal scored for Pittsburgh. Staal's goal ended a big drought for him, so that's good news. Crosby had two assists, Malkin had a goal and an assist and Satan lead the team with a goal and two assists.
The win delivers a good ending to what was a disappointing road trip. The Penguins had a 1-2-1 record on the four game trip, earning 3 of a possible 8 points. Perhaps the team's offense has settled in now, however, so that should be good.
The Pens now have a pretty decent-size break ahead of them. Their next game isn't until Thursday when they play Edmonton at the Mellon Arena.
