Nov. 26th - NHL News from Around the League

Brian Burke is just inches away from becoming the next President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs. However, not all is well in the Leafs Nation. The Leafs lost 6-3 to the Atlanta Thrashers last night. Former Penguin Colby Armstrong had a goal, an assist and a huge hit on Jason Blake that knocked him out of the game. Also, Leafs defenseman Jonas Frogren could miss four to six weeks due to muscle tears in his arm. That doesn't mean the Leafs won't remain optimistic.

Former Leaf Darcy Tucker will miss about four weeks with a knee injury. is leading a boycott of the NHL All-Star Game. Join the Facebook Group to support the cause.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have traded center Wyatt Smith to the Phoenix Coyotes for future considerations. No word on if these are the same future considerations the Penguins sent to Phoenix in exchange for Mike Zigomanis.

Jason Spezza will no longer have to buy his own hockey equipment. The Ottawa Senators centre signed a sponsorship deal with Reebok yesterday.

Could the days of the "Creepy Baby" be over? Dany Sabourin will unveil his new mask tonight. It will have two frogs, in reference to the derogatory term for the French. Sabourin is French-Canadian.
