It looks like the Montreal Canadiens are running away with the NHL All Star Balloting. A credit to their dedicated fanbase? Or Javascript?
Credit to The Pensblog for breaking the story and for the screen caps. Nice work.
It appears that the NHL has added a captcha to the ballot (those little numbers and letters that appear at the bottom of the form to verify a human is submitting the form) in order to prevent further automated voting.
Speaking of NHL voting, has anyone noticed that the voting site is ridiculously slow?
The New Jersey Devils are not doing well without Martin Brodeur. The Rangers defeated the Devils 5-2 in New Jersey last night. The Devils have only won once (a shootout victory over Tampa Bay) since Brodeur left the line-up due to injury. They've had four losses in that time.
Brian Burke is no longer the general manager of the Anaheim Ducks. Bob Murray will be his successor. Burke is rumoured to be heading to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Someone finally scored on Roberto Luongo. The Colorado Avalance defeated the Vancouver Canucks 2-1 in a shootout. Paul Stastny broke the streak at 1:28 of the third period. The streak lasted 242 minutes and 36 seconds.
The Chicago Blackhawks retired number three last night in honor of Pierre Pilote and Keith Magnuson. It was the sixth number retired by the Blackhawks.
Alexander Semin is the NHL scoring leader. Semin scored two goals and added three assists last night in a 5-1 victory of the Carolina Hurricanes. The win puts the Capitals into first place in the Southeast division.
