PittsburghPenguins.com is reporting that Sidney Crosby did not attend practice today and that he may miss Saturday night's game against the Islanders.
The injury appears to be related to the one that caused Crosby to leave the game in Phoenix. Michel Therrien is quoted as saying "It's been like this for a week.. We'll see how he feels tomorrow. So far he's felt good enough to play those games. He got hurt a little bit. We hope he's going to be there tomorrow."
Crosby did take the ice earlier today for a power play session before practice. The decision on whether or not Crosby will play will be made tomorrow after the pregame skate.
In accordance with the team's new policy, the injury was listed as "undisclosed."
I think that Crosby should sit the next game out. It's still early in the season and it's not like the Islanders are a powerhouse team. It's worth resting for a game or two if it means avoiding a more serious injury later in the season
