TSN Showing Only ONE Pens Game This Season

Last season TSN was the place I turned to for Penguins hockey.

This year they have jumped off the Penguins bandwagon faster than Marian Hossa.

In an effort to become "the place for Canadian hockey" they have switched their schedule to make sure each game shown involves at least one Canadian team. This, combined with the purchase of "The Hockey Night in Canada Theme," seems to be a part of their plan to lure viewers away from CBC.

However, much like Ryan Malone and Marian Hossa before them, the folks at TSN have run towards the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Detroit Red Wings, leaving a Pittsburgh/Calgary game in March as the lone appearance of Sidney Crosby on their network.

This year they are hyping their highlights as "7 Original Six match-ups, 5 games featuring the Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings, 4 games featuring the Washington Capitals and last season's scoring champion and Maurice Richard and Hart Trophy winner Alexander Ovechkin, 4 games featuring the Tampa Bay Lightning and No. 1 overall draft pick Steven Stamkos."

I really don't want to have to purchase the rip off that is NHL Centre Ice because, thanks to Rogers bundling the package into their "Super Sports Pak," that package now costs $29.99/month. I don't want to be paying for channels like NBA Season Pass, the OHL Action Pak, the NASCAR channel, and the U.S. College Football and Basketball channel.

I just want to watch Penguins hockey.
