Welcome to the Team: Eric Godard

Part Two of my look at the new members of the Pittsburgh Penguins:

Position: Right Wing
Acquired: July 1st, 2008 - Signed as a free agent to a 3-year, $2.25 million contract.

In Eric Godard, much like Matt Cooke, the Penguins have gone for a cheaper alternative. He appears to be a waste on offense or defense, but he'll stick up for his teammates. It also looks like the fights that he is in are more of a reaction to something that just happened on the ice and less of the pre-determined, Georges Laraques type. Welcome to the team!

Pens Experience,

Chris here at Pittsburgh Puck Talk. I was wondering if you might be interested in swapping links?

I'm spending the off-season trying to generate a good network of Penguins and Atlantic Division blogs.

Get back to me when you can!

Nice write up on Godard. He might not win every fight in the same fashion that Laraque did but Godard won't ask other players if they want to fight first, he'll go after them and we've seen that in preseason or at least read it.

Like Chris from pittsburgh puck talk, I was curious of you wanted to trade links as well. I just put Penguins Experience up on our Links page, if you want to link back our url is - "The Pens Forum". If you link back we put your name in retro Pens baby blue and if you have a banner graphic, I'll put that up as well.

sorry if this seems like spam. Couldn't find contact info on your main page.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm just starting out this blog and some links back would be great.

I've created a Link Exchange at the top of the page for people who link to me, and I added both of you to it.
